Calendar and Announcements

Services are held on erev Shabbat (Friday night) and on the evening prior to Yom Tov (festival) days at 7:30 pm, and on Shabbat (Saturday) or holiday morning at 9:00 am. Please see our Services page for more information.

  • Aviv Hadash is conducting hybrid services (in-person, and broadcast via Zoom) at the usual times on the evenings prior and on the mornings of Shabbat and festivals. On Zoom, our services are intended for congregants and authorized guests only - please follow the directions in our weekly emails in order to log in.

  • Our Torah study group meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm, although there will not be a class on May 18th (erev Lag Baomer).

  • Aviv Hadash follows all federal, state and municipal health guidelines to minimize Covid contagion. Nearly all of our attendees are fully vaccinated and boosted, and we continue to implement several precautionary measures for our in-person services, such as physical distancing in our seating arrangement. We do, however, currently have an optional light kiddush after services. The Board of Trustees has decided that, for the time being, people attending our in-person services and classes must wear masks.

  • Looking forward, and with the hope and expectation that the Covid-19 case-load in our community will not worsen significantly, we are tentatively planning to offer holiday-appropriate refreshments after services on the second night of Shavuot (Sunday, June 5), followed by a class. (These events would ordinarily take place on the first night, but for various reasons this year it would be difficult to serve hot blintzes at that time). We hope that eventually all our members will feel safe enough to return and join us in person, so that we can again host festive social events as we did before the pandemic struck.
