Services are held on erev Shabbat (Friday night) and on the evening prior to Yom Tov (festival) days at 7:30 pm, unless otherwise noted, and on Shabbat (Saturday) or holiday morning at 9:00 am. Please see our Services page for more information.
On Monday evening, November 4, at 7:00 pm, Young Israel, in concert with COJO (the Council of Jewish Organizations of Staten Island) is hosting a Unity and Love Israel gathering to counter hate and antisemitism and to express our unwavering support for Israel and gratitude to the United States. The event will include an address by Eliezer Goldberg, the brother of Rabbi Avi Goldberg, who fell in Lebanon as an IDF soldier. Young Israel is located at 835 Forest Hills Road.
On Sunday morning, November 10th at 10:30, Aviv Hadash will be hosting a meeting to learn about the services available from CASC - the Community Agency for Senior Citizens, such as rides to appointments, help with shopping, case management assistance, etc. In addition, the Police Community Services will be joining us to explain about some current scams (especially those targeting seniors) and what we can do to protect our homes and livelihoods. While the program is free, please let us know if you expect to attend so that we can plan the necessary refreshments. RSVP to Kathie or Joyce.
Aviv Hadash is conducting hybrid services (in-person, and broadcast via Zoom) at the usual times on the evenings prior and on the mornings of Shabbat and festivals. On Zoom, our services are intended for congregants and authorized guests only. You can log on by following the directions in our weekly emails.
Our adult education Bible study meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm
