Calendar and Announcements
Unless noted otherwise below, services are held on erev Shabbat (Friday night) beginning at 7:30 pm, and on Shabbat (Saturday) morning at 9:00 am. Please see our Services page for more information.
Our Succot dinner will take place after services on Friday night, October 18, for those who pre-ordered. But the kiddush after services in our Succah is, as always, free.
At the conclusion of Succot, we will have services for Sh'mini Atzeret and for Simchat Torah at the usual times: 7:30 pm on Sunday, October 20 and on Monday, October 21; and 9:00 am on Monday, October 21 and on Tuesday, October 22. On the morning of Sh'mini Atzeret (Monday) we will be reciting the Yizkor memorial prayers at approximately 10:30 am.
The adult education class meets on Thursday evenings at 8:00 pm. We are currently studying the book of Numbers.
This year marks Congregation Aviv Hadash's Ruby Jubilee. We will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of our synagogue with a gala journal brunch to take place on Sunday, November 17th (that's the 19th of Heshvan, 5780) at 11:30 am.
