Calendar and Announcements

Unless noted otherwise below, services are held on erev Shabbat (Friday night) beginning at 7:30 pm, and on Shabbat (Saturday) morning at 9:00 am. Please see our Services page for more information.





  • High Holidays are approaching - Rosh Hashanah begins on Sunday evening, September 29th. Tickets for High Holiday seats are sold at the synagogue on Tuesday and Thursday evenings between 8:00 and 9:00 pm, and on Sunday mornings between 10:00 and 11:00 am.

  • Our adult education class meets on Thursday evenings at 8:00 pm. We are currently studying the book of Numbers.

  • The Shulstein aufruf will be celebrated during morning services on Shabbat parshat Ki Tavo, September 21st.

  • On Saturday night, September 21st, we will have a Selichot service at 9:00 pm, followed by a collation (that means like a kiddish, but without the kiddush).

  • The year 2019 marks Aviv Hadash's Ruby Jubilee. We will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of our synagogue with a gala event to take place on Sunday, November 17th (that's the 19th of Heshvan, 5780). Please mark your calendars accordingly.
